About Community Church

Our church is a curious and wonderful anomaly of worshipers, and almost two-thirds of our members are committed and active in a weekly Bible Study. Close to 100 children and youth are valued, participating members of our church family. 

• We emphasize the spiritual disciplines of our Christian tradition. In keeping with our Congregationalist heritage we experience the Holy Spirit directing our individual lives and our life together in marvelous ways as we commit to a life of earnest prayer and obedience.
• We are a Congregational church in the United Church of Christ (UCC).
• The teaching ministry is foundational to us
• Weekly small group meetings
• 6 - 8 Retreats each year
• Many lay ministries: administration, visitation and wedding
• Missions including the Marshallese Island UCC church
• A hands-on relationship with an orphanage in Mexico
• Our pastoral staff normally consists of a Senior Pastor, (full-time), Associate Pastor (full-time), Youth Ministry Team Leader, Minister of Music, and Pastor of Senior Ministries.

We Recall…

It is necessary for us as Christians to pray every day, to study some portion of the Scriptures each day, seeking in grace and praise to discover God’s will for our own lives on a daily basis. As part of our discipleship, we also work to increase our love for one another. We tithe to “our” church, that the Kingdom may increase its resources. For the same reason, we tithe our time and our conversation. Finally, we hope that our faith and love and discipline will increase until they flow beyond our fellowship and become a blessing to others.
